On 15 December 15, 2017, Professor Kim Genpei and his companion from thenorth Korea famous comprehensive research universities scientificresearch at the Nnational Uuniversity of Sscience college professorKim genpei line of two people to visited the Institute ofAgricultural History of our China (referred to as the Institutehereinafter). agricultural heritage institute, The two visitorstheywere welcomed by Ni Gen jingenjin, D director, and, Wang Fuchang,Ddeputy Ddirector, of the Wang fuchang professor, Professor Zhao Feiprofessor, teacher Xie Ping and , teacher Yang Liu.

ProfessorDr.Kim Ggenpei has long been engaged in the research of the history ofscience and technology, and is a well-known scholar of the history ofscience and technology in South Korea. On the afternoon of 15Decemberth, he made his first visit to China. The His main purpose ofhis visit was to find outlook for the historical data of PprofessorGui Yingxiang, a Korean doctor of silkworm sciencebombycology, whowas engaged stayed in China and studiedin the research of about thesilkworm science in China from 1930 to 1938. And said that a few daysago, Professor Kim paid a visit to Zhongkai School of Agriculture andTechnique to the Guangdong province archives and Dr. Gui Yingxianghad worked in zhongkai agricultural and technical school visitsforthe same purpose, but  did not find out muchthe harvest is not big.‘Through the recommendation of my friend, I learned that theinstitute Institute of agricultural history of south Chinaagricultural university has been carrying out agricultural historyresearch for many years and collecting have collected a large numberof agricultural history data,’ said Kim.. Therefore, Today, he camehere to our university for a special visit, hoping to get help andfind the relevant informationour more information aboutof Dr. GuiYingxiang. Professor Ni, the director of the Institute of the southKorean scholars in a line, extendeda warm welcome to the two guests,telling them that says Dr. Gui Yingxiang  of the Korean peninsulaiswas not only in the last century's most famous agronomist, but alsoone of the alumni of Ssouth China Aagricultural Uuniversity and aprofessor of Sun Yat-sen University, with, distinguished alumni,eight years of work experienceing in China. also and silkwormprofessor of Sun yat-sen university, Professor Ni introduce thehistory and the collection of the Institute, presented data andpapers about Dr. Gui, and talked about the friendship between Dr. Guiand other scholars including Professor Ding Ying and Professor YangBangjie. ProfessorJin Kim Genpei said that it is atduring his visit to South ChinaAgricultural University where, he had found found the right place,found valuable materials of Dr. Gui and relevant and found scholarsto talk with., and achieved a lot. He also invited Pprofessor NiGenjin and other officials teachers to attend the IinternationalCconference on the Hhistory of Sscience and Ttechnology which will beheld in east Asia in August next year to introduce present Dr. GuiYingxiang's scientific research activities in China. We Let’s hopeto strengthen the exchange and for further cooperation betweenJjeonbuk Nnational Uuniversity and South China AgriculturalUniversity.

Dr.Gui Yingxiang (1893 -- 1967) was a famous agricultural scientist innorth Korea. He served as the President of the aAcademy ofAagricultural Ssciences of Nnorth Korea after the restoration ofNnorth Korea. In 1930, he was invited to China and worked as aresearcher in zZhongkai School of Aagricultural and industrialIndustry, school and as a professor in the Ddepartment ofSsericulture and the , Ccollege of Aagriculture of, national SunYyat-sen Uuniversity. During this period, I cooperated with myclassmates and colleagues to publish several high-quality researchpapers on silkworm science. In 1939, he came back to China and madeimportant contributions to the genetic and biological development ofsilkworm eggs in Nnorth Korea. He was granted the title of "theFfirst Ddoctor of the Ddemocratic People's Republic of Korea" byKim Iil- sung, the national leader of Nnorth Korea. Kye Ung SangSariwon University of Agriculture in north Korea is named after him.
