The intellectual property center of South China Agricultural Universityis a comprehensive platform integrating intellectual propertymanagement, training, research and consultation. The center takes theintellectual property as the core, analyzes the current hot spots ofsocial intellectual property, provides professional consulting andother services in the field of intellectual property, and strives toestablish a model of intellectual property management, creation,protection and application in Colleges and universities, scientificresearch and institutions in Guangdong.

Theintellectual property center of South China Agricultural Universityrelies on the intellectual property research center of South ChinaAgricultural University established in April 2016.On the morning ofApril 26, 2016, the establishment meeting of intellectual propertyresearch center of South China Agricultural University was held inthe lecture hall 115, School of Humanities and law, South ChinaAgricultural University. The unveiling ceremony was presided over byLiu Hongbin, Secretary of the Party committee of the school ofHumanities and law of South China Agricultural University.

2018Onthe morning of November 23, the Establishment Ceremony of "Guangdongresearch and Development Center for modern agricultural intellectualproperty" and "intellectual property information servicecenter of South China Agricultural University" and the seminaron intellectual property to help agricultural science and technologyinnovation were held in the lecture hall on the third floor of SouthChina Agricultural University. Xian Chunlong, vice president of SouthChina Agricultural University, He Jufeng, deputy director ofGuangdong market supervision and Administration Bureau (IntellectualProperty Bureau) and other officials attended the event and deliveredspeeches.

Afterthe speeches of Xian Chunlong, vice president of the University andHe Jufeng, deputy director of the Provincial Intellectual PropertyOffice, Guangdong provincial market supervision and AdministrationBureau (the Intellectual Property Office) and representatives ofSouth China Agricultural University signed the cooperation intentionagreement on the spot. Subsequently, the opening ceremony ofIntellectual Property Center of Kennan Agricultural University washeld on the spot, marking the formal establishment of the twocenters.

Sinceentering the 13th five year plan, the university has made a lot ofnew attempts in promoting the transformation of intellectual propertyachievements, and the number of patent applications andauthorizations has also been in the forefront of universities inGuangdong Province.

Withthe innovation driven development strategy becoming the core strategyof the country and Guangdong Province, the intellectual propertysystem plays a very important role. In this context, the intellectualproperty center of South China Agricultural University wasestablished to give full play to the advantages of the University,set up a research team, refine the discipline direction, integraterelevant resources, highlight the research characteristics of Hu inagricultural universities, establish a sense of respecting knowledge,advocating science and protecting intellectual property in theUniversity, and create a legal environment to encourage intellectualinnovation and protect intellectual property. To provide intellectualproperty services for the government, society and enterprises outsidethe school, to provide advice for the "three rural" issuesin Guangdong Province, and to develop the brand of Huanong.
