The mock court of South China Agricultural University was formallyestablished in June 2016. It is one of the branches of the SCAU LegalPractice Teaching Center. The legal department teacher acts as aprofessional instructor. Experience the operation process of thecourt trial, increase the understanding of judicial practice, legalpractice teaching and theoretical knowledge learning complement eachother.
Here,the majestic law gavel sounded loudly, and the rigorous law was"quoted by the classics", and the splendid and fiercebattle of words was enthusiastically staged. Legal students simulatecriminal and civil cases and play different roles in court trials(judges, clerks, lawyers, litigants, witnesses, etc.), analyze thecase and write legal documents, and give generous speeches and fightbravely around the case. Train the understanding and application oflegal entities and procedural knowledge during the court hearing,improve the ability of expression, speculation, adaptability andcollaboration in practical exercises, improve their legal literacyand comprehensive quality, and accumulate practical operationexperience.
TheSCAU Moot Court regularly holds mock trial of civil and criminalcases; and holds internal professional knowledge training. In orderto improve the students' legal writing ability, communication andexpression ability and speculation ability, the experience of legalsearch, document writing and court proceedings is taught in the formof seniors and juniors.

The"Real Court Trial Enters Campus" circuit court activityprovides students with the opportunity to understand the judicialtrial process from a close distance, so that the students feel thesolemnity of China's judicial trial and enhance their concept of therule of law.

Themoot court also actively carried out external exchanges andparticipated in legal practice skills competitions. In 2018 and 2019,the SCAU moot court represented South China Agricultural Universityin the "Yangyi Cup" legal practice ability competition heldby the Hunan Procedural Law Society, and participated in manyuniversities. The team won the second prize of the group and theexcellent team collaboration award.
